Default not using my roto start any more

Hello i am a fan of cen and have ben on this site for a while now. its been a long process to try and start my gst 7.7 with the roto start so tonight not to long ago i decided to take off the rear end of the truck and put back my new pull start that i had ordered when i was going through them during the break in process which made me get the roto start. but any i am going back to pull starting i think and hope. i decided to take all the wheels off so i dont have to worry about the truck moving, reinstall the pull starter. i emptyed the fuel out of the engine being that i clogged it. put some fuel in the engine and opened up the carb alittle and with alittle quick pulls she started right up and i was so happy. but the temps i was gettig. it was only running for like 5 mins of fuel topps no longer. i was getting readings from the top of the engine head was 180 degrees and i chceck the coils of the cooling head it was like showwing 200 degrees. is that normal for the coils to be hotter then the top of the head?

Yes it is, the closer to the heat sorce the hotter it will be. This engine like to run at 250-280 degrees (factory numbers).
