Today I had the pleasure of meeting with a good old friend that is trying to get back in the hobby. He is trying to get his old planes back in flying condition. I have been out of touch with this gentleman for over 25 years. Boy was I surprised when I went to his home today. Hes got 3 EU/1's, 2 are in the Blue Angels paint scheme, and 1 in the Circus Circus pink and blue, all of them w/Rossi 60's rear exhaust. He has an Utopia -how many of you remeber that? Hes got pattern planes that I don't remember the name of, some are Ivan Christianson designs from Canada, plus many other classic fiber glass fuse and foam wing kits still in boxes.
I flew pattern in the 80's with this gentleman, of course it was the old style pattern. Now days pattern seems to be dying in this area. Wish there were some classic pattern events in the midwest area-Kansas and Missouri.
This stuff is not for sale, but I thought you would be interested to know this stuff is still out there.
