Currently working on a new Deception... and then... want to resurrect an old original W-K Hobbies Tiporare project with some new wing cores (because I messed up the original cores), also have a hand-me-down partially built J&J Troublemaker to finish.

For me Simla and Flop of Ed Kazmirski.

Both interesting planes for me, not only building but also first reverse engineering within the outside dimensions after calculations.

Well, I have been planning to build a Dirty Birdy kit from Blu-Jay that I have had stored away for a few years and also begin a Deception scratch build. I have been looking at the plans to see how I can mount the trike gear system but looks as if not too much trouble to accommodate. I have the foam wing and stab foam cores all cut out, they look good. I may decide to hone-comb the wings as I did on my Black Magic. Giving that some serious thought.
Also looking at ways to cut down on weight by possibly change thickness of wood on the fuse, still meditating on that.
Found an old ST S661, Macs header and pipe. Looks as I have the engine combo so far.
I will most likely finish the plane using 00 silk-span and dope. However instead of dope I'll use Min-Wax Brushing Lacquer. Leaves a harder syrface than dope. It goes on like dope thins with lacquer thinner, and it even smells like dope. Then I'll paint with Urethane Enamel (auto).
Those are my plans.
Now if Crank can come up with something.......????

Even thoughI am new here and only an intermediate pilot ,I have a renewed interest in developing new skills with some existing planes (Rick Stick .45 - piped , Airtax Agressor ST - S 75 piped, T2 - A - Picco 60 SE - piped , and my pride and joy an unflown , master built Bridi ESCAPE - YS - 61 - piped . Before the ESCAPE hits the field I will hopefully have honed my skills some so I wont turn this jewel ionto a kit ! I mainly race Nitro and Gas RC Hydros and Vee Hulls , the best of which are my Twin 80 Roadrunner rigger and Twin .91 Roadrunner rigger so this racing deal takes lots of time and money but I have always had a soft spot for the Classic Pattern deal (before it was Classic !!LOL ) . Finally an EU 1 - A is in mycrosshairs for 2011 . Happy New Year !

Nice Hydro..Twin!
Hoping to have the Tiger Tail III ready by early March (a few more weekends and she should be ready for primer). Have an original wood Dirty Birdy on the other bench, fuse is finished and Iframed the horizontal stab over the weekend. Also have an Escape (foam sheeted wings)I might get too (might) andputting off the P-6 until summer, for those rainy weekends!Oh, anda WM Spot-On 50 for modern pattern that I really need to get going on.

Crankpin,

Since it's impossible to find a Phoenix 6 fuse, I'm determined to draw my own plans and build one from balsa and ply. You know the story and thanks for the photos. They should help get the outline right.

Happy New Year!

I'm planning to finish an electric Ulrey TOC Laser in time for Rusty's Classic/TOC contest this Spring. Power will be an AXI 5330/Fai with 10S battery.

I'm going to fly the wings off of my Kaos's. Also get my Tipo flying and finish my Lanier Laser for the Chicago Classic. Mine is 1.08 powered and a bit cruder than Burtona's.

While all you guys are here ...a question . In getting ready for my radio installation , on the UFO I noticed that the Elevator has two pushrods . Is the normal plan for two servos with "Y" harness ? Never dealt with this before . thanks for any guidance in this area .

Who starts a plane then doesn't finish it?? (I'm just glad to see I'm not the only one...)

Right now I'd just like a place to build again.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the reply. I did not receive your email but sometimes messages wind up in my spam folder for no reason. Good thing email's just a fad. I can't tell you how nice it would be to look at P6 fuse. Getting the flow from the lower fuse to the turtle deck is tough just looking at pictures. I'll send you a PM to work out some details.

Thanks again.

My plans: Build a 40-sized Tipo and fly it or the Kaos at a local CP contest.
