I picked up a glass fuse and foam cores from a swap meet. The plane is a 60 size pattern plane with a pipe tunnel running inside the fuse below the wing.
It almost looks like an LA-1 but it is not. The vertical stab is not molded to the fuse but has to be foam built then glued to it.
I can not for the life of me think of the name of this plane. I will post pics tomorrow.
Thanks.Phil

Photos would be reallllly helpful
.
That said, it sounds like it might be Larry Phillips version (glass/foam copy) of the Aurora. The mold was incorrect and the vertical fin crooked; so, instead of making a new plug, Larry just cut off the offending vertical fin and provided a foam core replacement. My best guess without seeing it!

Hey Mike, that was my first thought when i picked it up. I will post more pictures with the cores and fuse together and see what will happen.

I don't think it's a Conquest IV. I have a Phillips Conquest IV and it doesn't match up with your plane very well at all...
My vote would be: maybe a fiberglass knock off of the MK Cosmos, possibly made by Phillips Aircraft...I wouldn't necessarily call it a perfect match but it's about the closest thing I can think of. Maybe seeing some pictures of the vertical, wing and stab cores may help narrow it down??
The first photo below (pink airplane) is a Conquest IV...The other three pictures are of the MK Cosmos for comparison.

How have you been? I haven't seen many posts from you lately. I was just thinking the same thing about the wing cores and vertical stab. I guess great minds think alike..........

Huh...Wow...Interesting!! That's pretty kewl!!
Defiantly not the MK Cosmos judging from the win/stab planform...That "double taper" is pretty neat..
Dunno what it might be??
