My next door neibhor has a MK Curare (60 size) still in kit form in his garage. He got it from his dad years ago, but gave up flying shortly thereafter. Whats this thing worth, any idea? I have seen them occasionally on *bay, and they went for a pretty penny (alot of money). Might take it off his hands if the price is right

Hi,
They usually goes for US$ 400-500 or slightly more on flybay but in may vary from one occasion to another.
Assuming all parts are in the box - basically new in box.

Hey guys,
I just have bought an MK Curare 60, build, retracts, servos, engine Webra speed , and never flow, exactly with the same colors/designs like Hanno's curare.... wow !
Nice price ! Will be happy if it arrives here..
A new, unbuilt kit ? Priceless !
If you buy it, make copies !

If I were in the market to buy and build a Curare, I'd just order one from Don at Eureka Aircraft.

Your best bet is to do the following......
Ask how much he wants for it .....He might just say $200....give him the $$$$
Or he answer what's it worth... offer $200 and see what happens....He may say $250 and its yours ....Give him the $$$$
Or he my say Not For Sale... just ask him to let you know first if he decides to sell.
Just make sure you have $$$$ with you when you do this so there is no time for him to look up the going price and back out.

Steve,
If my memory serves me correctly, I think I paid $300.00 for mine. It is a kit built 60 size and was complete and ready to fly with a Rossi FIRE 61, tuned pipe, Dave Brown Retracts, servo's and all. I did however change the servo's to modern digitals. My Dalotel flies AWESOME, even though the covering is getting old. See attached.
