Is there any interest in TN, SC , NC , GA , VA for a CPA contest ?

I tried at my field but i was informed that the event schedule was full. We do have quite a few events annually.

I plan to spread the love. It is time for the upper midwest to show their prowess!!!! It would be cool to get it going in MN this year, but hoping for something asap.

I'm still pretty new here. I'm a member of the Falcons R/C Club in Lewisville but I'm a little new to suggest a contest there. I dont think they care for such things. I am a CD, but I think someone a little more established here would have more luck with a field.

How about one in the North east.... ???

I know there is interest in the Raleigh-Durham area of NC, but as far as I know, the interested parties are all in different clubs making it hard to nail down anything. I tried at my club, and they have zero interest in anything competitive.

Same in my area Jeff. Not much "general" interest within my club, but I know several NC flyers who compete in SPA. I'd bet they would show up for a CPA event close to home...

I will be seeing one of the interested ones this weekend. I will ask him to try to get all the guys down there together that he knows of, and pick a club to host.

Hopefully we can get a date in late summer so I can finish a couple of planes in progress.
