Hi,

It was a Modeltech Flying Fishfor sale at ebay Germany two days ago. It was sold for Euro 86 = US$108.
Wingspan 160 cm / 63 inch, for .60 2-stroke.

I grabbed some pictures from that e-bay ad, se below.

The fuselage looks similar asHanno Prettner Magic from 1981 but the wing and stabtips is kind of Wolfgang Matt Saphirstyle.

Hi,

OK, great find there. That plane looks nice, should probably fly well with suitable engine etc.

Modeltechmade very good ARC (Almost Ready to Cover) kits. I have some Modeltech kits myself.
Not sure if Modeltech still exist today and make kits, maybe.

I have just bought the same airplane kit and there isn't any instruction in the box.

Hello Arturo ,

I have not build the plane yet but I also have no instructions .
As this is an Arc , you do not need instructions I believe .
You will need an engine with a rear exhaust and a reso pipe .

Hallo Ger56,
thanks for answering.
I guess you are right... anyway I do not understand why the parts have number markings.
Was it for production reasons?

I have the Modeltech Calypso box, and If I am not wrong there is some instructions in it.

Are you plannig to built it soon? If so please share your experience.

All the best, Arturo

Arturo,

if you have any questions, we are probably able to answer them. As mentioned above, you'll ideally want a rear exhaust engine and tuned pipe. It looks like its setup just like Prettners Magic with a S-shaped header (accopiamento) and pipe (risonanza) running down the inside if the fuse top.

Trike retracts and 5 servos+ (6 or 7 the retracts need one or two, 7 or 8 if the engine needs a high speed adjustment like a NovaRossi 9 mm carb). Incidentally, NovaRossi makes a very nice engine and header that should work well on the model.

Hello Arturo ,

As everybody I guess I have lots of projects and this one is not an urgent one unless I crash my other 3A modeltech calypso .
Yet I have already the engine ( novarossi 60 rear ) and the landing gear ( e-flite electric ) .

Still i'll be interested to have some pics from your buildiing .
