Scale pattern plane?

RE: Scale pattern plane?
I have been playing around with this idea for a while and hear is something I've been working on a F8F Pattern Bearcat.
Basically take a WW2 Scale fighter and stretch it out. Something like this. It's not a classic pattern plane but itis a classic. You could use wings from any classic pattern plane or come up with your own. As long as the plane can be trimmed true then and you can fly the patterns, why not.

Well I found an original Carl Goldberg Super Chipmunk kit at a local swap meet. Should be a nice build and a sweet flying plane. Just need to find retracts for it, and have some fun building it.

I had one without retracts , ran webra 60 in it and I would do snap rolls on take off... watch the wood it can build real heavy quick.. I did replace some of the wood during the build.

It took some searching, but finally found pics and video of N13Y, the version with retracts. Looks like the gear has a cover on it. I can easily figure out the part attached to the gear, but the fairing that is on the wing will be tricky.
