Default Typhoon 1000

I have plans for the 1988 MV1 version along with the 2x2 and would like to obtain the plans for Typhoon 1000. Hope someone has scan or copy, link to build thread would be nice.

Thanks

Tim

Pretty sure the only differance between the MV-1 and the Typhoon 1000 is wing area. Both share the
same fuzz.

No, they don't. Ron scaled up the entire airplane to get 1,000 squares. Maybe the glass ones that were sold just enlarged the wing, but the wood ones did not.

I"m pretty sure Jim has the wood plans...as I had them at one point and then sold it all to Jim at RC City.

Any idea which version this one is? It was built by Dick Belden, and uses an O.S. .160 for power. I want one.

That is correct, both the 1000 & 2+2 are totally different in size. I have both of the which were scratch built.

My Typhoon 1000 which is red, white, blue, yellow in color is powered by an Y.S 140L. The Typhoon 2+2 which is larger is powered by an Y.S 120

Tony

Did the 2000 have same canopy as rest of the series of Typhoons? I know cowl was different but canopy looks same.

I honestly do not know if the canopy was the same. Knowing Ron, it may well be the same.

I acquired Ron's prototype back in 1998 or 99. It flew very well but I had committed to flying the Giles 202.
