OK, not even going to talk about how much I paid and if it is worth it or not. But my Citation kit arrived from Chuck and his Japanese connections and I couldn't be happier! The kit is as beautiful as I remembered it looked like in 1982. The Citation was going to be my #1 model in 1983 and I was going to fly it at the world Champs. But it crashed from low batteries only 20 flights in to it's life, so I flew a Tiporare. But it sure was a great model! I consider it, along with the Naruke Cosmos, to be the ultimate Pre-Turnaround designs. Trike gear, inverted RE engines, enclosed tuned pipes. The Citation also has flaps.
I have a couple of things to get done in front of it but I will be starting on it soon. I'll do a build thread as I go along. Can't wait to see this in the air!

Tony, awesome, looking forward to the build. I have the MK Cosmos kit and decided to keep it and copy the parts. Food for thought with that superb rare kit you have.

Hi Mike. Only way to do it! Just have to decide if I'm going to do it in my old base yellow, red and blue scheme or something different. The one I had was in my scheme.

Had to run some errands after flying this morning so I got two copies of the plans made. I'll use one to cut up and build off of and the other for looking at!
There are some neat thing under works and if they pan out it will be really special for Classic Pattern. I'll announce things if and when they solidify.

The Seller is longerbeach in the RCU adds. It was a high price.
Here is an example of one of the planes for sale:

If this thread deviates from just the enjoyment and interest of building a great Classic model like the Citation, I'll bail out. So please, It's not about the seller or what the price was for the kit. It's about a great Classic Pattern model.

The way Isee it, something is worth what someone is willing to pay. Iam happy to see that this super rare airplane is in the hands of someone who not only will build it, but is going to make it shine! SUBSCRIBED!
Ilook forward to learning alot to take forward to the build of my Aurora.

Hi mithrandir,
If You have some patience probably sooner or later a Midwest Mach 1 (I assunme a kit is what You want) will be for sale at ebay US (or at RCU or RCGROUPS for sale section).
You can also buy a Mach 1 short kit with fiberglass fuselage and foam wing+stab at rcaiir.com (just contact him for a list of all planes he has short kits of).
I have a Midwest Mach 1 (kit) but not for sale.
