Pattern plane chronology

Hi,
I think that you would want to begin with the Smog Hog from the 1950's. it was the precursor to the Astro Hog and won many contests in its time.

Do we have a chronology for our planes.
Like:
1971 the Kaos was introduced (don't use that date, I'm sure it's wrong)
1972 Don Lowe introduces the Phoenix 1 (again, just an example)
Something like that.
Maybe if not we could start one?

I like your Idea. Just to clarify are you staking out the jet style of Pattern Classic planes from say 1963 (Blue Angel Prototype) to when turn around pattern became main stream?
Trenton RC Flyers has a huge Classic Pattern List already compiled but not in a chronological order. http://www.trentonrcflyers.com/patte...atternlist.htm
I was able to place it in an Spreadsheet file if you would like to put the work into ordering it by date. See attached file its a coma delimited txt file that can be imported into Excel or most spreadsheet apps.

That was a lot of work Bryan.
I was just curious about the 60s to the beginning or mid 80s. If I wanted to know when the Crusader first entered the scene or the Phoenix series, I could look on the list. Or if a plane had a certain design change, did others have that too that were designed before it?
I'm not in a bet with anyone that I'm disputing a date on, just curious if such a list exists. Like your list, it would be a lot of work.

Tim,
If a list was field delimited in a spreadsheet, it can be ordered by any row or column. The list just needs to be fleshed out with relevant info inuding the design date. There are a number of fields that come to mind that would be of interest to include in such a list.
If the list was kept publicly (eg on Trenton), it would grow in information wealth with time. To me, that list ought to include the full SPA as well as CPA date range so roughly mid to late 50's all the way to turn around (1993-1995).
The only tricky part would be version control which is typically handled with software in closed or controlled networks.

The text file above can be opened in Excel. You'll need to make sure to select Coma delimited instead of tab delimited.

Would be a great project for someone willing to put in the time to finish it.
Here's the Excel file for any one who wants to mess with it. You will you need to change the txt extesnsion to xls.
