I have an old Phoenix 8 Kit and I am not skilled enough to build it the with the finesse that it deserves.

Bcon, Try giving it a shot at building it yourself. There are many wonderful threads here on RCU on how to tackle a plane like this. There are also many wonderful people here that can help you through the build, if any questions come up. This is the fiberglass fuse version.... correct?
