Thanks speed-panzer, interesting stuff, I was unaware of this arrangement between Aviomodelli and Midwest. This is becoming educational!
And thanks Vince for the explaination on the Cricket jet.

Would be nice if I could find one. Would anyone have any info
on how many of the Aviomodelli Mach 1's produced and what
year they hit the street?

Ron,
the plans and the typewriter written building instructions do not show any year or date. In the box of the kit I do not find any other hint, either. I have to check old catalogs and ask some friends. Yes, would be worth getting the plane into the air, I would imagine it to be less then 7.5lbs. I still have a nice HP .61 NIB which would fit it perfectly.

Choppercopper, she looks very nice. Any chance I could ship mine(see beginning of thread) downunder and you could make her as sharp as yours? Smile!

Opps...sorry about the double post. Finger trouble! New paint is always nice. Project has taken me 2 years on and off. We'll see how she looks after the first flight!
Cheers Roger.
