RE: Aurora 60 Build Thread - Electric Power
I should have results shortly. On a related note, I just picked up another Scorpion motor, the 4020-10T. I'll have to try both motors and compare data.

RE: Aurora 60 Build Thread - Electric Power
Hi Jeff fantastic site and great job of your plane.I have built an Aurora to use in Classic patern and have used a standard OS 61 SP as a power plant. I decided to cut out the trike undercarrage and just use it as a tail drager. The plane has just recently been finished but during a recent house move i have misplaced my plan and can't for the life of me remember the correct C set point. I don't want to fly it until I have this correct because I know from the last one it was CG sensitive. can you please give me that measuement from the leading edge. thanks Stuart

Jeff,
I just read this thread. Great job. I built an original MK Aurora kit back in the late 80's. I just sold it the other day, it has been in storage for over 25 years. Still in great shape. Now I wish I hadn't but am thinking about building another from Acaiir products. I have been thinking about going electric and that is how I came across this thread. Since much time has passed since you did this conversion what would you do different today? Any recommendations on current motor, ESC, Battery etc. Thanks and here is a picture of my Aurora 60 I just sold.

Well... I’m looking for a .60 sized pattern ship for my rear exhaust YS classic to pull around the sky... I’ve always liked the Aurora, so I guess I’ve got my vacation reading sorted with this thread.
