Hi again Dave,
I just looked into OS website and found the list of discontinued spare parts for the two O.S. engines.
O.S MAX .61 SF ABC-P (http://www.osengines.com/parts/xr17712.html)
===============================================
OSMG4947 27703000 Cylinder & Piston ABC 61SF
OSMG7715 27706000 Piston Pin 61SF
OSMG7484 26617004 Piston Pin Retainer 60-77
OSMG3973 27705010 Connecting Rod HANNOII
OSMG4651 27702000 Crankshaft 61SF/RF
OSMG3060 26731002 Bearing - Front 40-240
OSMG3108 29030001 Bearing - Rear 61-300
O.S. MAX 61 RF ABC "HANNO SPECIAL" (NOT MKII/RING) (http://www.osengines.com/parts/xr17841.html)
================================================== ===================
OSMG5338 27703100 Cylinder Liner 61SF/RF
OSMG7539 27803200 Piston 61RF
OSMG7713 27806000 Piston Pin 61RF
OSMG7679 27917000 Piston Pin Retainer 61RXSX
OSMG3973 27705010 Connecting Rod HANNOII
OSMG4634 27702040 Crankshaft 61HANNO
OSMG3060 26731002 Bearing - Front 40-240
OSMG3122 29030010 Bearing-Rear Stainless Steel 61HANNO
Will also supply piston pin and piston pin retainer in your AAC kits ?
I.e. will the kits contain the following:
1 pc of AAC Liner
1 pc of Piston
1 pc of Piston Pin
1 pc of Piston Pin retainer
With Kind Regards,
Gunnar

We will not be making them in ABC. The AAC setups have proven that they are superior in heavy applications for racing and ducted fan use.
I am still awaiting orders and will not begin production until a minimum number is reached. We are halfway there at this point.

Do you need the deposit $ now to count as having the minimum order? If so, mine's on the way.

I would go for a set for the 61RF engine, but I would prefer regular ABC (brass cylinder liner).
I have never heard of an aluminum liner.
FBD.

Get your sweaty hands on an Enya 40 - 45CX. Put it on your model and peak it out the way you normally would. Then peak it a bit more. You won't hurt it.
This engine (either size) has the ability to run leaner than other configurations. The result is that the engine hangs in there during the extreme vertical maneuvers without a hiccup or a hint of a sag. This is why AAC construction is my absolute favorite of all.

Dave,
I have read a document from Webra, that told the difference between ring / ABC and AAR. You are right, they will live longer, and even give more power. They are used in Webra's most powerfull engines, as well as YS as well it seems.
AAR seems the way to go, but still loving ABC as well.
But one question. Due to the weight difference of the piston, isn't it necessary to rebalance the piston/rod/crankshaft/... for the lower piston weight ? Anyway, as when I was very young, and tuning motorcycles, this was an issue, certainly if you wanted to get a high rpm. But certainly, the big end will love the lower weight.
Is there a way to tune the AAR to get even higher RPM ?

AAR is a ringed setup. We're not making ringed setups. AAC is a chromed aluminum liner with aluminum piston. The piston weight is essentially the same as the stock part.

I do not know if you have done it or not..... but if you have not..... try putting a post in the "Glow Engines" forum about these piston/liners sets.

Just an update for all of you. We have all the liners blanked out and will start milling the ports next week. All of you guys who want RF parts will get Hanno style porting, don't fret, it works fine in the RF crankcase.
Will keep you posted as work progresses.

Once again, we are not making these for FSR's. Only for RF, SF, and Hanno Special. At present we are porting the liners.
Most of the parts have been sold. If you want to be on the list for any, contact me at [email protected]xx Drop the x's
Thanks, Dave
