Hi everybody:
I want to convert a taildragger pattern model to a trike gear, only problem is I have no idea [
] how to determinate where to locate the landing gear in the wings, I hope you can help me on this.
Center of the wing measure is 13 " 5/16 , wing tip is 8 " wingspan 60 " , is there a % to be considered from the LE backwards to decide where should I install the landing gear?
Thank you for your help.
Rafa

Yer, just behind the cg, but only just... If the tail is pushed on to the ground then let go the model should gently sit up onto the nosewheel.

pimmnz is correct. Place the mains just behind the cg. I like it about a 1/2' or so back so there will be sufficient weight on the nose gear to steer and not have the nose bouncing up and down as you taxi.
