If the billtulsa currently viewing posts on this forum is the Bill i'm thinking he is. He was a world champion flyer back in the 70's?-80's?. My uncle who use to belong to the same club used to talk about him all the time. However, i don't know what type of contests he was a champion in. i assume him being on this site a pattern flyer contestant.
Maybe someone knows more than i do, but its cool to see a big name on this forum.

I think you helped me with my 1st solo flight around 1980. My uncle (Ron Halcomb) was an aeronautical engineer in those days with Rockwell and also was a Glue Dobbers member. I also think that some of his scratch built speed planes were flown by you. Too fast for his skills. I only hope to oneday have the skills and opportunity to fly those planes that still exist. Although the Kraft radio systems probably need to go.

Hi Bill:
I Remember shopping in your store when I was in town on business. I still have the Malibu that I got from you and had Bob Noll build. Do to things beyond my control it is still minus paint and covering but it's not an old pattern plane anymore it's a new BPA plane now.
Glad to see you back in the game.
Peace
