I have a complete pulsar kit that I am not looking to sell at present but plan to build "one of these days".I believe there is a rcu member that replicates old pattern kits including those made from fiberglass and foam.Anyone know of whom I speak?I would be willing to loan the kit for this purpose so others may have a chance to build this great design.

How about sending the plans up to Lazer Works so that Eddie could do a short kit of the plane?

that would not work as the kit features a fiberglass fuselage and foam core wings.there are really no patterns on the plans to build a built up version.they shoe the outline,tail feathers.wing drawings a few construction details and building notes.

If he can't get to it for some reason...I do that kind of stuff too...Not as a business or anything...But I should be able to get the molds off the fuse (or at least take a look to see if I would be "comfortable" doing it..)...Then we can get the molds to someone who's into making kits (ie: Dan)...

My only problem is I'm pretty slow...

I've never seen one of these Aircraft...Only pictures posted here...

edit: Here is a link to a thread where I'm working on an Atlanta Pattern Plane...Going through the process of splashing it to make molds from...There are other ways to go about this that wouldn't be quite so risky..But probably a little less accurate of a re-production...Since this is my aircraft I'm working on and I understand the risks involved...I'm splashing it...This Atlanta is a "tough" fuselage so I'm hoping I can get this done with minimal risk to the original...If it wasn't so tough I would have taken another approach...

We have looked at that plane in the past and depending on the fuse at least the one we saw there would be alot of work in to making the fuse as a plug then making the molds to pull new kits from.. There is a pretty good cost involved also for prep and tooling resin and mold prep then to pull the new fuses from molds.. The foam cutting is very easy , and not many other parts needed, that could be cnc cut, etc....

Unless there is a big market usally around 100 units it is hard to justify the cost... But I'm sure if someone wanted to front it.. it can be done...

I just thought everyone should read the above statements twice...

RCM had a new product announcement on the Pulsar in the August 1975 issue. It already had some pattern wins under its belt, so it obviously was a pretty good flyer. I sure loved mine. One could get one of those metal profile tools (actual name unknown) and take the profiles off the glass fuse every 3" or so and build up a balsa planked fuse on the half shell principle. It would be a lot of work, but it could be done.

Yeah that would work also but like you said alot of work.. I had two of them and sold both and loved how they flew..

I even flew with Norm several times while in PA at the West End Wings field in Effort PA.. That was at least 8-9 years ago , and we even talked then about a bigger version.. I would still like to do a bipe for spa and ama pattern..
