Default Rossi Delivered

I have been talking to member's about Rossi 60. Paid for it over the phone on Thursday, 2/21, just delivered to my house today, 2/23.

Very impressive piece of work. True ABC. If this works out, will do another. This one going in new Intruder. Using OS61FX, and was ready to bolt another one in, decided to try something different. Realizing I may not see or feel anything different, it is like getting a new truck or car, changing brands. I received a lot of info from members here, all good.

That is just like the one that I have, just a few feet away.

I'm busting my tukkus on getting my Kaos ready to fly so that I can move on to one of my Intruder's. Yes, that is where my Rossi is going.

I just wrote to Sahak, looking for different muffler application for this engine. Lot of can hanging out there, and what is the long spring for, muffler security. Trying to get the adapter O ring into the muffler little tight. Heat it up first, metal expansion?

Mac's Muffler not showing any for this Rossi 60. Any info appreciated.

I would give Dubb Jett a call and see if he has one of his super mufflers (conventional format) with an adapter that will fit. Also the PSP folk's Ultrathrust muffler is good. I have both, but not for the Rossi as yet.

Vince, work on those nails for the next photo shoot! Seems as though you're having to much fun over on the other side of the peninsula.[&:][&:]

I have to look at that Daggets. Someone told me that PSP Mfg. has a nice muffler for this Rossi 60. Can't find it on their site. If you are talking about a pipe, for the class I fly in, cannot use a pipe, or anything that is close to that, tuned, etc. Sahak's site has an adapter for the OS muffler. I can use that.

I may just fit this Rossi to one of the new Phoenix' I am close to finish. The plane I was going to put this in, I had already set it up for the OS61FX, like the other one. I set the OS aside, decided to put this Rossi in. Cowl already finished for the rear NVA on the OS.
I have to get this plane finished soon, for a spare, as first contest for me is in 5 weeks. Not much time, practice, etc.
I will take a look at what you described now.

Thanks for the info,
Vince

FOLLOW UP: I ordered the bridge adapter for using the OS61FX muffler. This will work fine.

stg61 - Thanks. It may be a little while to get it installed in one of the Phoenix' here. I am hurrying to finish Intruder #2, and already set up for OS61FX, cowl, etc. Contest coming up in 5 weeks. Thanks for the good news on the Rossi. Will go to another one.

Sahak sells an adapter that lets the Rossi use any muffler that fits an OS .61. Get that, then the Jett or PSP high performance muffler meant for the OS.61FX.

Just did that Ed. Best idea, he shipped today, for OS61FX muffler. I was going to get this Rossi in Intruder #2, but time closing in, first contest in AL, 5 weeks, 550 miles, one way. Need to take spare plane, duplicating Intruder #1. Except painting the fuse and new balsa fin and rudder, monokote everything else. #2 already set up for the OS, I just got a bug to go Rossi, so it will have to wait on one of the P-6"s.
