I've got a WK Tipo and the instructions say to put the CG 3/8" - 1/2" forward of the centerline of the main gear.

If you built it as a tricycle gear, the numbers I gave you should work. If not, or if you want to be sure, here's a link to a CG calculator. Just measure, plug in your numbers, and it'll spit out a CG range for ya. Good luck and let us know when she flies!!!

Here is a more powerful cg calculator that also figures in your stab size. You can also vary your static margin to give you a range on your cg. Static margin also can help you set up you plane for the type of flying you do - 3D, pattern, etc..

Glad to help! Good luck with your maiden. I've got a MK Curare about 1/2 built, a WK Tipo NIB, and just received a Super Curare that has the stabs mounted, but nothing else done. I need to get off my butt and get to building. I wasted my winter getting a couple of pylon racers and my Aurora going. I'm thinking about putting the Curare on the shelf and getting the Tipo built first. It's a 'glass fuse, so I could possibly get it done faster.... decisions!!
