And yes Vince the TT III will be done up in Chidgey colors, so no Dave don't do it! It will get either a Rossi side exhaust, Bluehead .60, O.S. SF .60, or a Kraft .60, not sure yet. But it will also be flown with a single stick, hopefully one of the Pro-Lines I have on the shelf. Hopefully in time for next year....
Now if I copuld find a Bootlegger....

I had the honor of meeting Ron Chidgey and his wife Betty Jo at the SPA contest at Hodges Hobbies in Andersonville, GA this past weekend. What a gentleman ..... and yes ..... he still flys like a pro ! He had a beautiful Atlas with him that looked like a piece of art ..... but he flew it to 3rd place in his first contest in 12 years (yes, with a single stick transmitter).
He now owns a company called Scratch Builders Warehouse. You can get plans and other items from him here:

Thanks for the link Ed. I think it would be thrill to see the likes of Ron or one of the others from that era fly again. I was amazed to find Mike Mueller in these forums; as past member of the Radio Control Club of Chicago, I oftened watched Mike or his Dad fly in the events around the area. I never progressed beyond the early stages of advanced, but my interest in classic pattern today is as strong as it was 30 years ago. I picked up the TigerTail III from crankpin (a TT was my first serious pattern ship and I recently found an old Polaroid pic of it) and plan to finish itlike Ron's TT III. I have a srcatch built one that I'll use to get back into the swing of it and I look forward to the possibility of competing in some future SPA events. Best to all of you.
