Ok, I have a framed up Cosmos 45, got it from Dan Hines (Deadstick) through a trade a while back. Its cover in fiberglass and looks to be in great shape has canopy and belly pan, no control surfaces, elevator, rudder, Ailerons does anybody have a set of plans that they could send a copy of the controls? so I can finish this bird up. Thanks ahead of time.. Regards, Pete

I hope Pete won't mind me using his thread for the query. I figured it didn't warrant a separate thread.
In short, anyone here pick up the Cosmos 40 kit from Bob recently for sale? Any info on the differences similarities with the 60 version would be interesting to know.
David.

The Hatori header should be #552 if your running a YS 45 FS engine (which you should!!)...

Boy that thing looks really nice Pete!!
I see a nice looking scale dash leaning up against your back wall in the first shot...Oh..That may be for the .60 size plane cause it looks a little big for the .45...

Hi Chuck and David, sorry I have not called you Chuck after finding out I had a 45 I was depressed! not really. The Cosmos only has 1 coat of on it and its been on there a long time some of the fiberglass has pulled off. Chuck maybe you can look at it and give me some advice finishing it. The plane you see in the background is a sterling Piper Tri Pacer 54 WS.
I met Dan Hines down at Perry and he gave me that plane with the Cosmos that I traded him for.
Regards, Pete PS: Chuck could you call me PM sent

By the way,
those rowing machines are actually intended to catapult launch classic pattern designs with gear up!
Pete, if the wood is sealed and there's already glass on it, I would consider using waterborne primer/paint starting with polycrylic prep followed by a mix of talk/PC to fill the weave. I don't think there's any issue with using PC atop epoxy if that's what Dan used to lay the glass down. A good sanding might be in order first though.

I have a built Cosmos 60 that I am currently flying. I need a Bellypan for it. Does any one have a kit that I can make a quick mold of the bellypan? I contacted a Hobby Shop in Hong Kong and they want $120.00 plus $30Sh for one. A little too pricy for me. I have been flying the plane for around 8 years without a pan. I will upload a pic later today of the plane.....Thanks....Ken
