Thank you WAAM members for hosting a great event. While I didn’t do as well as I had hoped I enjoyed every minute of it. You fellows have a great club and a great facility, thank you. If you host this event again next year, I will be there.
P.S. thanks for the use of the stool; it was just the right height.

Hey Batman think about it, we ran 40 heats and I think we only had three mid airs. Not bad. A lot of good pilots at this race.

Skully, you are SO BUSTED!!!
I saw what you did. When you were coming up this way to the race you stopped at Ms. Jaqueline's Voodoo Shop and Bait Store and picked up that little black leather pouch of magic potions and once you got here you sprinkled a healthy dose of that concogtion all over my airplanes so I would have bad luck this past weekend. The black pouch was in the trash can where I pitted . And you know what?? That stuff WORKS!!!!
Man oh man, what a race! I did abo****ely terrible with all the technical troubles I had, who'd thought it? ONE FREAKIN point for the whole day!! See, I told you I was going to surprise you, hahahaha!
Not to worry nitro breaths, Im dusting myself off and I will ride the horse again!!
Seriously though, CONGRATS to all the winners as well as everyone who flew. Yall done good!! Way to Go Greg Doe!!!
It was a great day of racing and thanks to the Texas folks for coming up . Thanks to Ed Waldrop, Dave Phillips II, Tim Batt , Rick and Kim Grim for all your hard work as well as all the volunteers too!!
Gary, I'll get ya next time instead of leading you for 8 and cutting on the 9th lap, stupid me [&o]

Thankyou to Ed, The WAAM Club, and everyone who helped make The Tuscaloosa Shootout a success.
Also, thanks to all the contestants who traveled great distances to compete.
I can tell you that I went from about as low as you can get, to about as high as you can get in this hobby! I hope I wasn't too grumpy to anyone, and if I was, I'd like to sincerely apologize.
I'd also like to thank my three callers: Dave, Dave, and Dave. That's all for now. Greg

Did anyone get a count on the midairs? I only saw one and that was Ernie and Greg.
There was some really good piloting going on. VERY CLOSE racing and very few midairs.
Thanks to everyone for making this race a success!!!!
Long live Club 40!

From what I saw I believe we lost five planes; four to two mid-airs and one went down by itself for some other reason. Greg and I were the mid-air in R1H4. Greg, big congrats on coming back from that to win the event! Tim, that puts us at 15.63% attrition. That's right in line with the average we've been using at 15%.
