RE: Virus warning
Yeah, I'll take your word for it, since you seem to know what you are doing!
Look, you folks who keep suggesting going around AVG (and the other anti-virus programs alerting to a problem) don't seem to understand that that is what an anti-virus program is supposed to do. You aren't getting a warning, but I am. I think I'll stay off the site just to be safe.

I don't understand the problem. I'm using MS essentials. I am not having any problems getting on RCU, no malware warnings and no blocks.
Maybe it's a problem with AVG.

RE: Virus warning
I wouldn't be too quick to blame AVG for false positives. Their avgthreatlabs website has identified: exploit invisible Iframe injection (type 1707) as the active threat on RCU. I'm not going to turn off my link scanner or switch security programs until this issue is resolved. John R.

RE: Virus warning
I have been useing AVG for several years W/O any issues untill about a week or so ago and only on RCU. Yesterday I couldn't even get into the forums to post or read W/O shutting AVG off for a few mins which I don't care to do. I like you have a anti virus program to protect my comp and it's contents, not to shut it off just to get into a web site. Since things work fine at any other place I go to I won't be changeing anything in or on my comp just to get in here, so I suggest that RCU get there act together and fix the problem before they wake up to find out nobodys home.
Just my 2 cents for what it's worth.

RE: Virus warning
It's not working again for me and AVG sez nothing has been done to clean up the site. I'm going to start contacting RCU's big advertisers and let them know that they may be wasting their money by advertising on RCU.

RE: Virus warning
You are right, that might be a little severe at this point. Last week, I filed an "incorrect page rating report"with AVG. They got back to me promptly with a report stating that the RCU site was indeed infected. At the same time,I filed a "trouble ticket" with RCU,reporting the problem. I have not heard a thing from RCU. This is very discouraging because I actually pay a yearly upgrade fee to advertise on RCU. I am afraid to place ads on RCU until this issue is resolved and RCU does not seem concerned.I guess it's going to be ebay and " that other site" for a while. At this point, the only way I can get on to RCU is thru my email. John R.

RE: Virus warning
HI guys.
This is not just an AVG thing. Been into computers since the IBM PC Junior and have built over 1500 systems in the last 25 years starting with the super fast DX33 lol.... You have a hidden thread attached to your pages right now. Its name is "Exploit Invisible IFrame Injection (type 1707) You folks have some work to do and please stop blaming peoples system software. Your IT needs to get in this right away. I use AVG on some systems, Wouldn't use Norton or McAfee for any amount of money others with other brands all three major browser and all three of my anti virus programs says the same thing. It will not just go away it is attached to your college ads and others.
According to AVG you guys are infiltrated on every page with some if statement malicious code. I contacted them about this because normally I have no problems getting to the site or using it but the last three days now every page says threat detected and blocked on my systems. This is what they told me ("Hi,

The detection is correct.
If you are affiliated with this site, you need to check all pages for
IFrame injections similar to the one seen at the URL above, that refers
to URLs at one or other of:
www.collegefun4u.com
%77%77%77%2E%63%6F%6C%6C%65%67%65%66%75%6E%34%75%2 E%63%6F%6D
Further, you should have professional computer security specialists
perform a full and thorough security audit of the site and the
server(s) hosting it to ascertain how these illicit code injections
were achieved. Rectifying all issues that such an audit uncovers will
be necessary to prevent the site being similarly compromised again in
the future.
")
Please check this out and keep us users safe/Thanks
