I don't know if it has been mentioned but I would like to see the comeback of the Great Planes Giant Aeromaster. This has to be one of the best flying bipes ever produced. I love mine.

The Goldberg Skylane 62. It was built like a brick outhouse and flew rock solid, what a joy to fly. Sure glad I have one downstairs!!!!!!

My second major airplane kit was a Sig Komander with a Webra 40. I have one of the original kits, unbuilt, in my attic -- it is over 30 years old.

I vote for the Pilot (OK Models) line.
Just because their factory burned down there are plans all over. If they used their own plans and laser cut the wood they would have their great scale line again. I have several and now build new ones from the plans.

RE: Discontinued Kits
Might sound stange but the Global Cessna my Dad had in the early 90s from Hobby Shack was a great airplane. We repaired it a few times and it only got better. We powered it with a Magnum 65 2 stroke of the same time frame and added flaps. It did some very nice aerobatics that looked great and surprisingly enough it was fast as all get out and would slow down to a crawl for some extremely pretty nose high CEssna style landings.
The only thing I didn't care for is the fact that it was a trike - I just love Tail draggers but it was a 172 style airplane which isn't a tail dragger so it is hard to fault it for that.

1- Bridi Trainers T20, T40, original Kaos. Agree with Cafeen Man, those kits were marvelous. My first one was the T20. I would love to see those kits available again, but proabbly with some re-engineering to make them lighter.
2- MK Arrow. It was supposed to be my F3A entry, but I came late.... I am still looking, thou.[]
3- OK Models Pilot kits. I remember having a Quick Built Series Trainer 15, put the fuse together over the table, take a look, dismantled it and put it in the box again. It was incredible.

RE: Discontinued Kits
No doubt for me. Wolfpack Model's "Thrush". I've obtained one finally, been hanging in a basement for about 10 years. Stripped it, touch up some balsa dings, a little sanding, monokote, radio and engine and it should be up this weekend.
But I'd just LOVE to build one from kit again. If for no other reason than to have the plans again!

Well, you can partially have you wish with the Bridi's! This company is making them again:
Bluejay Airplane Kits [link]http://www.bridiairplanes.com[/link]
Just got a catalog in the mail from them and they look fantastic........
My choice to bring back:
Any or all of the dynaflite warbirds, especially the 81" or .40 spitfire's. They may not look totally scale, but boy do they fly nice!!

RE: Discontinued Kits
AC Plonk, thanks, I saw it a couple of months ago. They are not offering the advanced trainers, thou. And I am not sure, but I remember that the original Kaos had less wing area.
Anyway, at least I can get the original plans on this two (as a matter of fact I am currently scratch building an RCM Advanced Trainer 60).
In the OK Pilot case, I still have a Zlin Akrobat kit waiting (see picture), engine included ¡¡¡
I heard that somebody is kiting Curares and Atlas again, but I did not hear about Arrows....

Fun One from the 80's.Not the one that's sold today.I probably got it form Tower back then and it was made by a major manufacturer.Just don't know who,but what a looker and flier. Low wing, streamlined and quick with a 45

Great Planes made the "Fun One". That plane would roll and spin like it was a dime. I really loved mine, built it in 1991 and lost it the same year[&o]

RE: Discontinued Kits
The Fun One was a great kit to bash. Lots of guys made them into "kinda" warbirds -- P-51, P-40, ME-109, Spitfire. I think they were by Hobby Lobby. It would be fun to have a bunch of them in the air together again.

. My all time favorite planes have always been the vintage pattern airplanes of the 70's and early 80's. With todays more reliable engines and computer radios those kits are hard to beat.
