I suppose the real advantage to it would be the ability to garage it at home and have no hangar fees...

For $280k out the door I don't think hangar fees would be an issue. For that, I believe an A36 Bonanza or possibly an older Baron 58p would do.

I wonder how insurance will be handled?

Its first flight was four years ago. They trot it out every once in a while to get more people to invest in it.

It's a proven business model, going back to the Custer Channel Wing, if not further.
