Yes! Happy pappy day to all of ya! I am having a grand time, my son just sped up my internet access a bunch, it sure is nice not having to wait a long time for the screen to reset. The cool thing is he also left me with a load of movies to watch. and is cooking up some real good barbecue!

yes turkey's do fly but not very far, we used to have some around here but it has been a long time since then. Too much encroachment by man.

There was a Turkey on front of me on the road running the same direction. It took flight and flew UP and over the trees! I knew they were short flyers, but figured just a few feet up, not 30 feet up and over. I may have it on dash cam, I did a snapshot, but they don't always capture the moment.

Welcome and thanks for the info on them bad a-- looking birds I am not surprised by them whooping up on just about anything. I watched them run off all that were near their prey, Bunches of big vultures included.

Vectric Cut2D. Now have to determine if I need Pro or Desktop. Desktop has a 24" limit and would require stepping for anything longer than 24. The laser I am considering is 28" long. It has a pretty short learning curve to knock out basic parts, and thats the important part.

I feel your pain some of the old wood in my 1973 VK Triplane cracked and broken while sitting on the bench. I haven't been able to get it fixed so the fuselage is straight. I think I am going to have to rebuild it with new wood.

According to the British website, "Model Flying," ASP has ceased producing model aeroplane engines. https://www.modelflying.co.uk/forums...?th=143113&p=1
This is particularly galling for me as I damaged my OS 52 Surpass yesterday and I will have to go to the second-hand market to replace it.

I've been told that ASP, Magnum and SC were the same engines produced in the same factory.

Pays to shop around too. Was looking for a CW-5000 water chiller to keep the tube cool, had spotted one for $399 last week, but it was used. Everywhere else was $470 and up. Decided to see what the CW-5200 was selling for, it is more that twice the amount of cooling as the one I was looking for, found one for $478. WOOT! That will keep the tube nice and happy. Ordering the 30 Ma meter, glasses and a few other small items now to complete the setup. I have not settled on the design software yet, but now that I know what the controller is and what software it uses, I can move on to testing it. If the software I have worked with does the job, then I can go ahead and buy that too and be all ready when the laser comes.
