Well George you seem to have shown it to be what it is.

I can see all you have said in this and other things that have occured and my initial reaction is to physically Lash out, .........knowing I will be crushed by the powers that be. SO! I will suffice it to say the FAA's Dictatorial move is BOGUS and self serving,

We are getting what we worked for by not being more active in the workings of our government.

All the congressmen that stall our government instead of working to move it along should be replaced.
this is not a team sport, we don't have your side and mine if one loses we all lose.

The way our goverment is run is not for the people but for the elite. The people that run for office are the worst people that we could put in office but they at the present are the only choice. I have a different idea that I dough most people have thought of. Some might say we would get some really stupid Congress people but the ones we have now are stupider than the average working Americans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sIh15oEjr20

I got a new project thanks to another forum member to play with. What do you guys think? I have an old Super Tigre the same vintage as the one shown on the plans but I was leaning more toward a Saito .62. I apologize for the low picture quality.

FlyerInOKC, that looks like a real good start on that VK Fokker Dr1. I bet it will be a really nice flyer and a sharp looking one, too.

I agree, It is that those governing have permitted Greed, prejudice, intolerance, and love of power to control they're actions and has placed us on a course of destruction.

FLYERINOKC

What a coincidence, I purchased a triplane kit at a local swapmeet last month, now I don't know what I will do with it I have too many projects in the works as it is.

Enjoy your kit as I remember VK kits were pretty nice and good flyers.

Once in the air they do great the take offs and landings are a little tough, prone to nose overs.

The fault lies with allowing those that put them in power to do so. It is our responsibility to elect those that have our interests in mind. To not vote responsibly,or not vote at all, is the problem.

I have quite discussing the clown circus...er.... government and the primaries, it just puts my blood pressure thru the roof! We have a do nothing congress that everyone complains about but do you vote bums out? No you don't like his opponent's party/politics so go look in the mirror and blame the guy you see. You can bluster and complain but he is still the one at fault he let it happen.

For presidential candidates you got a Billionaire schoolyard bully and draft dogging coward who made his money thru bankrupting companies and cheating people, a no nothing first time senator and assorted crackpots that hang on in spite of nobody is voting for them. On the other side you got an old guard politico who claims her bosses accomplishments as her own and is bought and paid for by Wall-street billionaires and her opponent a self proclaimed Democratic Socialist who at least won't take money from those trying to buy the election from both sides of the aisle. I don't know what scares me worse that Trump could get elected or that the best looking candidate is a &%@! Democratic Socialist!

Where is that emote beating its head against wall when you need it?!

I feel the same way. How anyone can support a criminal is beyond me. It is telling story though of how people feel when they are supporting a non politician though. Too bad its an Egobully.

I found the same thing with my Flair Baronette which I finished in the colours of Hans Weiss, one of Richtofen's flight leaders.

I managed to get a Guillows Tri Plane in the air. I had a pee wee 0.020, prop on backwards, (2) Airtronics Micro lite servos, Rx out of the case, 5 cells from a rechargeable 9v battery. I was actually able to fly it. It was not a smooth easy flight. It was harder to keep track of then a rocket powered glider. Sort of a drunk humming bird on a case of Red Bull. I hung it up after 3 flights. It had the glide rate of a foam block. Wings were level, but the descent angle was 45 degrees plus. Forward air speed was next to nothing. Barley flexed the grass when it hit.

I thought of it as a 3 winged parachute.

Buzz.

Apparently the bigger the triplane, the easier it is to fly.

That is what I have heard. The short nose makes ground handling tough regardless of size.

There was a 3 vue of the real Fokker tri plane. What stood out to me as I remember 3 deg.+ incidence top wing 2deg.+ incidence mid wing 1 deg.+ incidence bottom wing. 0 deg incidence landing gear wing. The kicker was 6 deg.+ incidence horizontal stab. Combine that with gyroscopic procession of a rotery engine and you have a real difficult airplane to fly no mater how big it is.

Another co-incidence , the kit I picked up is the Baronette...........Is it a good flyer? My intent is to fudge the L/G forward a bit to reduce the nosing over problem.

I really don't know why I bought the kit I have a much larger version (Ziroli) in my build que.

Swapmeets are a fun thing for me that is where I bought the baronette.

Permit me to share a little of the swapmeet in Gardenridge TEX. near San Antonio TEX. This last picture sums it up, this fellow is in hog heaven the smile says it all.

This spitfre goes with the twin CYL. engine in PICS.2 and three it's huge.

Swapmeets can be dangerous if you have more money than brains! On a side note I heard a well to do modeller is working on opening a new hobby shop here in OKC on the south side with its own indoor flying area with HVAC!

You are right FLYER

I spent all of $15.24 at the swap meet of the pictures, mostly on the plans from the first two PICS. He had a huge pile of them.

Another thing, that f-86 had me on my feet when first I saw it, but up close underneath the monokote (that looked fabulous) one could feel the wing covering lumber detached from the foam base, at $75 it did not sell. close inspection of what interest you is a must.

I hope the hobby shop does well, they don't do well here unless they are also a toy store and such, a sad situation.

In the air she's fine but you don't only have to worry about nose-overs on landing, she squirrels all over the place on take-off and it's easy to break the lower wing if you're not careful. Were I to build another, which I won't, I would fit a live axle and lock the wheels.

I quite fancy a 1/4 scale job. I have the Arizona Model Aircrafters plan.

I took the picture more for the green labeled Nobler kit, It is rather popular, and was designed by a fellow that lived in San Antonio. I have no idea what the other kit was,

The swapmeet was well attended.
