Not sure under which topic to place this so I have put it in a few that are well read. I am traveling from the Windsor/ Detroit area to Fort Worth Texas leaving this weekend, roughly by way of Indianapolis, St. Louis, Memphis, Little Rock, Texarkana to Fort Worth and back. I am going as the pilot for the University of Windsor SAE Aerodesign teams. I have Two weeks and I am looking for some interesting hobby shops, flying fields maybe even an event along the way. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Dennis, If you go to the AMA website, you can use the club directory to locate clubs along your route and find AMA events by month. As far as hobby shops, no idea...

You will be passing through Fort Wayne Indiana....gotta go to Phil's Hobby Shop (he actually has two in Fort Wayne)...1722 Lake Ave. He also has one closer to I-65 on the northern edge of town .... tell 'em Jerry sent ya!
