I cant remeber the color, but it was a volkswagon lookish to it. The wings were attached to it. a sport car was sitting next to it, the new generation of flying car, but no wings on it.

Default Who's Going To EAA Airventure??

Hey Guys,
I was at the EAA grounds today. I learned where I would be stationed. I will be at a Ice Cream Cart at the Tarmac. This is the area where they park all the special airplanes. Last year the 747 parked there. I will post a map tonight sometime. Also, I took a picture of myself, and what i will be wearing. You can use this picture to identify me. Hope to see you all there. -Patrick

PS- If you know of anyone who would take me for a ride in there airplane or ultralight...please have them contact me. I would LOVE to fly in one of those smaller airplanes, or maybe even an ultralight. I have rode in jets, but never a small personal aircraft, and I think it would be a GREAT TIME.

Anyone know anyone willing to take me for a little spin in there airplane/ultralight. I always see tons of airplanes flying in the early morning, before they ground everyone so the airshows can start. -Patrick

I've been twice but I'm skipping this year because I figured with the "100 years of flight" it was gonna be a nightmare so I'm skipping it.

Man, you can have all the free ice cream you want. The company I work for is very laxadazical. They dont count the money or anything. I could lose a whole box of ice cream bars, and they wouldnt notice. So, are you for real, that you can give me a ride? Also, is there room for one more person. My best friend, mitch salm, will be working alongside me in the Pepsi stand. If possible, I would LOVE to bring him for a ride. Thank you very much -Patrick

This year, my step dad (I'm 16) is making sure hes IFR current, because we are going without question. We have a Navion L-17, so we come in on warbird arrival, and we rent out someone's house and stay there. Its a good setup. If you guys see the Navion there, N4226K, come over and say hi.
Hey, Snownskate,
You will enjoy Airadventure. Do you plan to have your airplane judged? I will be attending again this year as a Warbird Judge so make that L-17 nice and shiny

I was there when I was little with my dad...like 8 years old or so. I've started going again last year with a friend that also flies R/C. We drove the 5 hours South-East, then camped out in the EAA member section about 3/4 mile from the gate. Stayed 3 days, 2 nights. It was simply awesome, but noticed a BIG lack of modeling booths. All we ever found was the AMA booth and some odds and ends at the museum. Does it surprise anybody else that there isn't more R/C related things there? To me, it's a good-sized piece of aviation. They should at least have demo flying with some big scale-aerobats doing 3D stuff I think.

To answer the topic question; yes, I'm going to be there this year on Friday and Saturday. I'll look for ya Patrick!

Carl

I have seen her make herself accessible, so it is not out of the question. Yes, video cameras are allowed. Many, many people bring them there. Have fun!!

It's very possible that you could get a ride. I am 16 so it's my step dad's plane. If we go and up and see you, you shake his hand and give us free ice cream I'm willing to bet you can get a ride.

Also, We went out to the hangar to get the bugs off the LE's and then wax them. We found a crack in the exhaust manifold. My step dad is quickly working to get a replacement, one is being installed tomorrow.

I don't think it is being entered for judging, but you can't show up with a l-17 that hasn't been cleaned, so yes the wax will be glistening. See you all there, if and when I see you putt13 I will introduce myself and then hint that you want a ride.

Default Who's Going To EAA Airventure??

Hello To All,
EAA Airventure was pretty good this year. Despite all the rain we had, it was still a nice showing of people. I met SnowSkate69, and some other older gentleman walked by and said RCU to me. Not sure who it was, but he was wearing a straw hat. Anyway, overall, a good experience. Plus, I got a ride in a Sky Ranger ultralight. That was the coolest thing ever. -Patrick
