Default My Job

Hey,
I am an Agriscience Technology Instructor. That's the big fancy name for an ag teacher. I teach high school kids about agriculture (livestock, forestry, crop production), welding, woodworking, carpentry, electricity, small engine repair, etc. During the summer I usually do a litlle remodeling/carpentry work or just about anything else to make a little extra money. I enjoy it most of the time, we have fun. But, sometimes I would like to pinch some of their little heads off.

That's true. I can relate to that, as I used to work in truck manufacturing, and the entire UK truck industry became involuntary non-profit organizations decades ago!

Sounds similar to what I'm doing. Why rewrite a spec when someone's already done it?

I'm a Translations Technician for a small phone company.
I basically tell the switch how to act and what to do. I'm also a good friend to all of the outside "phone guys" that visit your house when you have a problem.

One of my favorite Saturday Night Live skits ever.
Done in the late 70's early 80's with Lilly Tomlin (sp?) as a phone operator.
"Do you have a problem with your phone? We don't care because we're the PHONE COMPANY."

C-130 Loadmaster in the US Air Force.
Load stuff up (tanks, trucks, cargo, people) fly somewhere and airdrop them ( open doors in flight and throw it out).
24 years and counting (damn I need to retire) and find a real job.

Hey dega500,

We're working on a 6500 lb mold right now. That's pretty heavy for us - that's probably a feather compared to your stuff?
