Hi Clean I’ve been getting side tracked, lots of stuff going on. But I flew my BiSlob after doing a few adjustments using a hard point handle Rayco. And narrowed to three inch and fifty two foot -15 lines did a lot better hovered twice have a three ounce fuel tank Fox Stunt 35 fourthly anniversary Engine, still runs that 4 2 4 break. Flight lasted about three minutes but had issues with my Stuge releasing. Took about a minute to finally fall the U Clamp. Thinking about using a cable set up with nose gear fittings. Lots of room on my stuge, it’s made of wood, most I’ve seen are made of one fourth inch thick steel plates. I had a little -015 stainless cable left over on an old spool about 80 feet. And I made up the stuge line with it mounted it on a sparred reel I had. Never will use eighty footers. After reeling out about fifty eight foot I think the extra line caused the stuge not to release. Kinda made me nervous. And was afraid to let go of the handle. My thumb still has not fully healed. Numb and sore. Another issue titled on this post was ventures. Fradykatt Enterprises I think will tool up ventures. For just about engine. He also makes Toung mufflers. I have been using three of his mufflers they are really nice machine works. Can do just about engine. It’s great on my Fox Stunt 35s. AJ

I was rereading the original post about running an RC engine in a U Control. And rigging up 2.4 or 72.00 to Control the throttle. That requires a battery, receiver, antenna. Wires, to me thats a big issue and lots of brainstorming. I’ve never flown Carrier or three line engine controls. Like the U reely Control handle offered. In fact I My life I seen many for sale but never seen one in action. I recall a P-51 in Washington. Several of us flew U Control at the McCord AFB circle. A Sgt was being transferred to another base. And wanted to sell his recently built P-51. For fifteen dollars. It was complete but never flown. I had five dollars on me and another Sgt. Loaned me ten. And I bought the P-51. Complete with a Fox Stunt 35, four hole rear plate. But never run. The Sgt that loaned me the ten dollars wanted the Fox Stunt 35. I agreed to the deal and we removed the engine. I had a newer Fox Stunt 35 and mounted my engine on the P-51. When I test flew it it ran great, but after three or four laps my engine went to Idle and I landed it sat there running sped up and took off. It did this like clock work. The guys I flew with felt the fuel was foaming and causing this engine to Idle. But when We checked the line. It was fine. As soon as they picked up the plane the engine came back. I joined the Army a few months later. And left the plane home, never knew what happened to it. When I finished AIT I gathered up some of my UC hobby and flew and built the entire time I was on active and reserve duty. It’s always been part of my life. AJ

I've pulled the release, had the line over the tail flip up over and catch on the plane and hold it. And hold it. And hold it. AND hold it. Bout the time I was going to pull on just the down line and work my way out to the plane it let go and I was glad I was holding the handle. Luckily with CL I usually don't have a tank that will fly 15 minutes and heck, with a stunt tank good for 7 minutes 3.5 will have it put the pickup close to open, unless I'm running a clunk and then it's 7 minutes of waiting. Nothing like added excitement. Now, I used to have a spring return on my pin so the line stayed attached to the stooge BUT I haven't worked that with my current stooge. Last year I pulled the line so hard it flipped up and the pin landed on the opposite side of my control lines. OOF! So over the period of a couple laps I slipped the release line down the control lines and over my body, cuzz I have this SAFETY THONG on that won't let me swap hands and let the line fall. Wasn't so bad but then the stooge line got caught up in my right shoe's shoestring. Took me two attempts to kick the shoe off and be free. 3 laps later the engine died. IT counted as one of my 2022 Ringmaster Flyathon flights. I went to get a test flight on my Class II goodyear racer once. The up line connector at the wing got caught flipped around. Plane left the stooge, pulled a figure 9 and I was out of racing. It busted the fuse in pieces and split the wing. I still have the nose.
There are dangers to using a stooge but usually care cover most of them, and the ability to sit there comfortably while the fuel runs out if it doesn't. Gonna get my BustaHOR ready for midnight flying on New Years Eve if the wind is down. OR take it to the RC field or both. Just depends. It'd be nice if a grandkid thought playing with model airplanes was interesting.

Mornin Clean !
! enjoyed reading your post, gee sounds like I’ve been lucky so far. Been raining last few days my circle is pretty soggy right now, a lot cooler weather. Ben checking my old Sullivan lines running them out and taking a rag cleaning off the MMO. Guess my next time I fly I will run the Bi Slob. I was thinking about going to a rip cord line on my stuge, and not using the stainless Flying line. I’ve converted all my planes to smaller tanks. My Magician had a six ounce tank. And I converted it to a three ounce. Its my oldest U Control crashed many times but very rebuildable, got to be Fifty years old along with my Veco Thunderbird. Haven’t recovered the wings, the silk finally split in the summer heat this year. Over 100 for over Sixty days. It’s my only plane that I ran a 35 McCoy. Ya I am a Fox guy. Hey Clean! you have a great Christmas, and better New Year! AJ.

Thought I would share this. I ordered three Fox Bell Cranks and They came from Mecoa in California. They make Venturi for different engines. Thought you guys might want to know that. AJ
