BTW, I wish I'd had a camera when I built one of those 1/2A LOGS back in....... back in........ uh....... the 50s.
Mine was red, orange, yellow too. And cost a fortune to finish. The LHS owner kept selling me 1oz bottles of Aerogloss and saying it'd be enough to finish the sucker. Jeez, that Aerogloss, the Ambroid, and castor in fuel sure did smell good didn't it.

Two coats of clear, and some color. I remember those 1 oz. jars, I used the 4 oz. for base colors, and the 1.0z. for trim. They were heavy, but they flew. Little Bipe, Little Devil, and Little Mustang were my favorites.
Lukesp, NICE PLANE! Like the detailed rigging on the tail.
BTW, does anyone know if Walt Musciano has fully recovered from his illness?

Actually, I drew up something like a Flite Streak for my return model, but haven't gotten around to it. Been flying my old slow combat thing. Might just draw up a Magician like semi-profile instead.

I am not going to bug him anymore for plans, as much as I would like to. Walt is getting on in life and I don't want to take his time from him.

If I remember correctly, Walt is in his nineties. He has been publishing designs since the late nineteen forties.
The earliest published airplane I have by Walt is the August 1947 Model Craftsman with a CL HE-112, which is O&R .60 powered with a hollow-log fuselage.
You might contact Jim Dodson or Currell Pattie for plans in the interim.

PS. Sent you a private PM with addresses.

Thanks George, I'll look into it.
Believe it or not I have the plans of that model. It used bolts to piece the wing spars together.

I am particularly fond of that bearing supported shaft extension to get the engine back in the air scoop. Here are a couple of pics so others will know what we are referring to. Note that they misspelled his name on the article, but had it correct on the plans (which he probably drew):
