Aha, Prescott area. I used to live there, near the airport.
Thanks, the P-38 is my 13 yo sons, he built it a couple of years ago for the profile scale event in Tucson.

These Baby Ringmaster plans are Copyrighted material. I do have Laser cut kits for sale that include a full size set of these plans and a decal. Kits are $35.00 each plus $5.00 shipping.

I had a little Ringmaster for a cox with a built up wing when I was a kid. It was my first powered plane I built and flew. I'd like to do it again.
Anybody have plans for it?
Thanks,
Treven

My Feedback: (90)
Just for everyones information. This is a copyrighted plan and the designer sells kits based on his drawing. I would assume that copying this is a clear violation of copyright and this should not have been posted. I would urge the origional post be edited and have the links to these plans removed. I'm sure that Pat the owner of the plans has been informed by now. Besides it really is unethical behavior to steal another mans work.

<span style="font-size: larger;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Free Ringmaster plans.</span></span> <span style="font-size: larger;">Matt Kania's S-1 and </span><span style="font-size: larger;">Pat King's Ringmaster Bipe</span>
Here is a set of free full sized S-1 Ringmaster plans. They were drawn by Gabreile Macri and are in Italian with deminsions in metric system. The wing span in English measurements is 42 inches so if you want to print the plans for English measure, take the file to a copy shop and have them make sure that the printout has the wingspan as 42 inches.
Pat King's Ringmaster bipe is in English and he has given permission to download them for personal use.
Although Pat King's Baby Ringmaster plans are copyrighted, (as are the Bipe) he again will allow you to download and use them for personal but not commercial use.
Some copy shops may require permission to make copies of these copyrighted plans, If so, you will have to contact Pat King for his permission Pat will also be happy to sell you a laser cut kit of the Baby Ringmaster for a reasonable price!!

Thanks, John. I suddenly have the urge to build a Ringmaster ..... and a bipe ......
And thanks also to Pat for the nice gesture - I hope he checks in here still.
If he doesn't - is there an on-line site where we can get some more info about his kits?

Pat is a GOODguy and he loves Ringmasters.
Just email him () and ask him about what you want. Here is what he tells me that he now has available:
<font color="#000000" size="2" id="role_document"><div>Micro Ringmaster</div><div>Beginner's Ringmaster</div><div>Baby Ringmaster</div><div>Ringmaster 150E</div><div>Ringmaster Jr.</div><div>Ringmaster Sportster (short kit)</div><div>Ringmaster Jr. Flash (kit soon to be released)
These are laser cut kits with really nice plans.
Enjoy!!

Mike,
I forgot to mention that I would recommend that you move the bell crank on the Bipe up to between the wings rather than threading the lead outs through the lower wing. That should help center the vertical CG.

Scott17, How good does the baby ringmaster fly with the Brodak .049? I have a B' .049 and it doesn't seem as powerful as a Cox engine.

For some reason the free Ringmaster S-1 plans I posted earlier do not work so I am trying to re post them here. This copy is in english and is NOTcopyrighted.
You can see from the image below the general idea for the plans. If you want to use them to build a Ringmaster send me you email address in a Private Message and I will email you the full resolution plans. (about 1.7 megabytes)

There were all kinds of Cox 049s, from very mundane, boring, and moderate-powered (Baby Bee) through some intermediates, up to the remarkably high performance Tee Dee model, although various recent engines, such as the Fora, make the Tee Dee look very slow. I don't think that the Brodak 049 was intended to be a powerful competition engine like the Fora is.

I see that you asked this quite some while ago, so perhaps you don't need an answer any longer, but if you do, I am fairly certain that a properly broken in Brodak 049 should perform better than a Cox Golden Bee, and probably as well as a Black Widow.

Well, I put one hour on my Brodak .049 MK1 because it has an iron piston. It runs steady and well but my 1959 Golden Bee runs circles around the Brodak.
