Default If it ain't broke....

Fix it till it is. This is an old electric Chimpmunk. The motor it came with was huge (its in some of the pics) and I thought that a newer smaller motor would be better. I thought I could get the same power with less wieght. Obviously I was wrong. With the old motor. it would take off from the ground easily and maintain altitude at 1/2-3/4 throttle. The new motor it was way underpowered for this plane. I did get it to ROG with a fresh battery, but I had to keep WOT to maintain altitude. After 4 short flights (3 hand lauched) I tried one more. I threw the plane, and it got up about 20' before it stalled. I thought I could pull out, so I left it full throttle. And that's how she hit. I've already got humpty dumpty put back together again, but with the same motor I started with.
