Just wanted to give you guys a heads up on the best prosumer digi cam on the market today. Panasonic DMC-FZ20 and FZ30. They take the crown and are damn near SLR quality pictures. As with any prosumer digi cam the pics will get grainy at higher ISO which is where a true SLR shines. The Leica lens is what makes the FZ20 and 30 stand out above the rest. Couple that with an optical image stabilizer and 12X optical zoom and you have a real winner on your hands. It is easy to use for a new photographer or an experianced one.

Please excuse the car pics but I am a car guy. These were only resized.

Gorgeous pics!!!
Don't forget about the Fz-5 for lower budgets, same lens, same graphic engine, almost same speed, lacks manual zoom, shorter flash range, and some other non-vital stuff
That's the one I use (I'm no proffessional photographer at all)

Not for long.... Leica is coming out with a Leica Md! It's gonna cost big, but SLR quality in a rf body size will be pretty cool. I almost bought an Epson RD1, glad I waited! That Ricoh GR would rank at the top heap too. Pretty nice for a ps.
