Right now Adobe has a sale on Premiere Elements 9. Normally $99 ... $59 after a$20 instant rebate and a $20 mail-in rebate. This price is only good through today though!

Adobe Premiere CS4 is good but fairly complex to learn to do sophisticated things - earlier versions of it are simpler to use. Pinnacle is a good deal, and does a reasonable job. On the Mac platform, Final Cut Pro is considered to be very good.

What can't you do on Movie Maker that you want to do?

Hope this helps...Chris

I'd say movie maker has pretty good slow motion. Here's one of my vids that I used with movie maker: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Uq9x...er&list=UL
My trick to getting really slow motion is when you can add "slow down half" add it two or three times.

There are many apps available for video editing. The verdict is the best video editing app. Many animation streaming apps like animixplay promote videos made by the verdict. Many editors consider Aiseesoft Slideshow Creator to be the best AMV editing software because it has a plethora of functions for making your anime video appealing and unique. There are tools for cutting, merging, rotating, and other tasks. It allows you to add various audio effects to your video.

AFAIK Elements is for photo editing, not video.

Many people think all software should be free. I mean really, how much did it cost to make it? Well, Linus Torvalds, the developer of Linux, is work $50 MILLION dollars. And Richard Stallman, the founder of the Free Software Foundation, is worth $9 MILLION dollars. Just how do you think these programmers got so rich? SELLING SOFTWARE!
