There is such a thing as a stupid question.
Or at least feeling very stupid for asking.
Being new to elictric planes, I'm still figuring them out.
Does the battery that connects to the ESC and powers the motor also power the Rx and servos?

RE: There is such a thing as a stupid question.
Generally, yes. The ESC (electronic speed controller) usually offers this function with a BEC (battery eliminator circuitry) output.
There is some heat lost in the controller in implementing the BEC function, and this is aggravated by a high cell count in the battery or a heavy load from the receiver (heavy duty servos, etc.)
For most small electrics the BEC is the power source for the receiver.
