does anyone know of a good site for a newbie to fully set up the pro...i know it is supposed to be right out of the box but as you learn the ground comes up quicker hehe and i suspect that there are things to readjust, things like the 4 in 1?, and general set up...still learning and learning...but is there a good set up for learning?. i know the cp pro is not the best to learn on but it is what i got and i have already gone through the school of RADD. just need time...any help from you guys would be great!

Im new with helis also and I too just bought a CPP last week. I found it to be set up pretty well out of the box, what with tracking and what not. Radd is def the way to go for starters. If you follow his program you will begin what your heli wants to do on the ground first and tune your trim and 4-1 pretty well before you get it in the air. I found I had to tweak the gain slightly and also proportion as I was having to hold too much right rudder. Now I can hover through most of a pack at about a foot or so fairly stable, almost hands off sometimes. It just takes time and I am still getting the hang of the little bugger. I still havnt been able to find a very good site for setup, mostly just trial and trial and hopefully not too many errors!!

I think (but not sure) that these are the same vids as on Runryder.com:
http://video.google.com/videosearch?...on+to+Blade+CP
I've heard a lot of bad things about Runryder.com. Apparently, they run it like little Nazis or something. No personal experience, just found lots of reports like that...
Now, that said, I have found some good threads and articles there via google when searching for specific info on the BCP. There are obviously some knowledgeable people there...

CT, I have no interest in any web site, but what good does it do to run down or spread rumors, especially using an emotionally charged reference about Nazi's to something you do not have any experience with. I found Run Ryder to fine and helpful site for my purposes when I was looking around for my starting information. Lets all stay with the high road and be positive . Andy

Come back in 2 weeks when you're done reading and watching and let us know how you fair...
Me - I'm 3 weeks into the hobby - and I can hover, but it's pointless to try until your heli is set up properly (which I'm discovering the painful way that it's not).
Good luck...

Pitch, I have one easy way to make your heli more stable and save you money in the long run is to buy a set of Plasti Blades. They are flat bottomed and heavier than the symetrical wood blades that come with the Pro. Before I even got my heli, I bought a set online (helidirect.com) knowing I would crash and most likely break the blades. Sure enough, I had a very minor confrontation with mother earth and broke one of the blades. The next day my plasti blades arrived and lo and behold, it wasnt like balancing a greased ball bearing on a plate anymore, just a regular ball bearing
They track near perfect and balance perfectly right out the box too. I only had to make a minor tweak to the trim and this sweetheart makes me look better than I am. Also, for some reason, maybe its just me, learning to fly in a smaller space, like my garage, is a lot easier, I make more corrections and my hover is starting to stay within a 3x3 space for several minutes, vs outside I tend to let the bugger wander thinking I can bring it back. Ive only been flying for a week so take all of this with a grain of newbie salt, but be patient and keep it close to the ground.

thanks i am already looking into a set. do not know if they will make me look better though. i already dressed in a suit and that did not help flying either
but i do plan on getting a set. practice practice practice... tried today and it landed on the skids almost as much as it hit something...so that is an improvement...but the hovering or something similar is not in any small space. just when it looks soso it veers off and away it goes. i know it is not the heli it is the heli pilot
but i will keep at it...it is still fun
