I just got the blade cp pro the other day, its my first helicopter ever. The tail rotor seems to have a plastic tube piece holding it against the gear, is there a better way to secure it in place? It seems to work it self loose after a bit.

Personally I would leave it. It is nice that it gives when you hit the ground and ****. Much better to do that than fry a motor, break your prop, or fry your 3 in 1. Also I have never had it come lose in flight so it clearly has enough strength to perform fine in flight. Just my .02

Thats the problem it isnt holding, I had it up about a foot off the ground and it started spinning slower then quit. I was able to drop it down unharmed and after inspection the tube had backed off so I pushed it back in. The next time I wasnt so lucky, I had it up about 15 ft and it happened again but since I truly am a newb pilot I wasnt able to control the landing this time [X(] .

A nice little "button" you can make comes from a plastic clevis used on airplanes, etc. Just cut off the piece that has the hole in it, trim it to match the other side, so that it is round. Ream it out so that it will fit over the carbon tail shaft. I use fuel tubing against the tail rotor, then push this against the fuel tubing. It provides enough bite in the carbon fiber that you shouldn't have any more problems.

Also - on the tail skid - slip a piece of fuel tubing up on it to take up the gap between the ground and the end - makes a little rubber bumper for the tail.
On the rotor - make sure the shaft hasn't worked away from the bearing on the opposite side - I had the same thing happen in a low hover and then realized that just pushing the tubing on was pushing the shaft through.

hobby guy told me just to check it before ever flight, I most of the time think about it once I am hovering lol( bad time to think about checking it) sometimes I land unplub battery and check but most time i just wait till end of the flight, I havent had any problems with mine coming off.
