Hi, I searched the forums and found a few options - I have a Real Flight 3.5 and was wondering what the best helicopter to practice with to learn to fly my CP Pro. I was told to use the Heli-Max Axe CP, the Dominion 90 3D and the Dominion 3D models becuase they are similar in flying the CP Pro. Can anyone tell me if the CP Pro is even close? I would like to do a lot of my hovering practice on the flight sim but need to know which model is best. I do have a few downloaded versions of the CP but I can't get them to work. Thanks

Axe CP in real life is probably the closest you can get out of the models you named. It was designed to directly compete with the Blade CP/P series.
In all honesty, no simulator has even come close to replicating how squirrely and twitchy the Blades are, FS One is the best so far, but even their CP flies so much smoother and more precise than the real thing.
Any heli you fly will give you the basic skills you need, also make sure to practice nose in a LOT on whichever sim models you choose. Thats the hardest to learn using real stick time.

I've been practicing with the Axe CP but haven't flown the real thing yet - I can get the Axe off of the ground and in somewhat of a stable hover for about 5 minutes on the simulator then I have to shut her down and go again. I'm going to give myself about another couple of weeks on tail in hover then start practicing on the real thing while I start simulation on nose in hover. It's snowing and cold in PA so I know I got about two months to really practice on the simulator becuase all I have is a small area inside to hover in.
