Thought I'd ask before I begin as I have no instructions and searches have not satisfied me.
I believe the cp pro manual says to turn down the 3-1 proportional all the way down and leave the gain as it is.
Is this correct ?.
Because my common sense says to turn the 3-1 gain all the way down and leave the proportional alone.
Answers and links appreciated as I'd like to get it up and running and don't have alot of time right now for experimenting.
Also maybe this thread will be usefull to others that buy a g90.
thanks

Yes, you must completely disable the Proportional pot. Turn it all the way counterclockwise. This disables the old standard rate Gyro.
Then, depending on your remote / lack of remote setting, you can adjust the G90. The gain pot is not used when setting up the G90. (The one on the 3-n-1).

we'll assume you're using the stock radio:
i recommend picking a gyro mode to fly in and sticking with it (ie rate vs hh) . although the cp pro tx allows remote gain adjustments, it is only useful for adjusting gain within the same mode. to elaborate on this, the stock tx cannot switch from hh to rate mode in flight because it lacks "conditional revo curves" found on programmable radios that make it possible.
for hh mode on the g90:
bzinfinity is correct if you are using only hh mode on the g90. if you are not flying in rate mode, turn the proportional all the way counterclockwise and leave it there.
for rate mode on the g90:
if you are using "Rate mode" on the g90, some form of revo mixing MUST be used. if you have a stock tx, you must add "revo" using the proportional trimmer on the 3n1.

I just hovered a pack out.
Seems like I can set the porpotional on the 3-1 for rate mode and then when i shut down and start up in HH it works fine with the poportional left as is on the 3-1.
Maybe HH mode cancels out proportional from the 3-1 anyway?
Will do some experimenting .
Is there any reason to use the gain on the 3-1 in either setting , HH or rate on the g90?
Or should the Gain on the 3-1 just be turned all the way down?
Thanks.
