Hi all,
I'm new here, and I wanted to tell you all that's its a very nice place!
Soo here's the deal, last week I crashed my Blade Cx-2 and I broke my Inner Shaft Head. Soo i change it for an aluminium one. Then when I went for a fly, My heli kept moving on it self to the left side ( Rotating ) not a lot but still... Should I mention that all my minor adjustement button are to idle... Add to that when I start my motor ( bery slow speed) my lower blade start rotating before my upper one ( That's why it keep rotation to the left ). ALSO when my motors are at very slow speeD (when my heli is still on the ground ) I can see my heli "shaking" a bit. I can see that the outer shaft looks to be the reason why...
I started to dessasemble my Cx-2 tonight and and other prob came up, CAN'T Pull out my outer shaft cuz of a screw ( look at the pictures ) I wounder that maybe some of you guys might know how to put it out and also if some of you think that the prob is coming from an other part, might be helpful to tell me
Thx to all of you

Yeah, just remove that screw from the shaft retaining collar (the silver thing) and the whole thing slides off the top of the outer shaft.
Pull the outer shaft down through the bottom of the body, be careful not to lose the bearings.
Check to see if it's true. (Hint - if you have a hard time getting it out of the bearings, it's probably not true.)
Buy a new one, and lube it just a LITTLE bit, like a thin film, with some sort of machine oil from your LHS and you should be good to go! Also, I'm pretty sure my lower rotors spin first also, will have to check on that.

I had shaking that looked like a bent shaft but it was a heavy blade.
Check your blades. If they are from different parts bag they maybe out of balance.
I had this happen. Old upper blade had a small number 4 near the head and the new blade had a
number 3. Swapped the blade with the 4 on it with one that had a 3 on it and shaking
went away.

Hey all,
I tried to start the motor to see if the Outer Shaft rally was bend but it seem like it isn't. Even tough I got a "kind" on vibration comming out of it... Also, I wanted to know if anyone had that "little vibration" effect and also if for everyone the lower balde start first....
Thx @+
BTW Thx for the quick response all.

Hey Diastro......with mine, there's a ever so slight vibration but once the shaft reaches higher rpm it disappears.....one sure fire way to test the shaft for bends is to completely remove it from the heli and roll it on a smooth surface and get down to eye level with it....can't go wrong that way.
As for the lower blade starting first, same with mine but it's jus for a millisecond or two before the upper and i have my pots tweaked perfectly.

Hey thx for the info...
I've fix the nose movement ( with the 4 in1 a couple of min ago now this part work ) but my head keep vibrating quite a lot. It vabrate soo much that if I'm at about 30 cm of the ground, my tail start shaking and goign left to right ( very fast ) then if I'm going to higher RPM then it desapear but its a very big vabration.
Hope Someone will be able to help :S

Hey
I've try to see if my Flybar was bend and actually it was a little... When I'm rooling it, there's a siede when the middle is about 5-6 Milimeter higher then the other...
Do you guys think that it might be the problem?? Could it be why it vibrates???
Thx

Diastro,
Straight flybars on the CX2 are very critical, either try to make it perfectly straight or replace it. These helis are small and anything just a tad bit out of alignment will cause major problems.

All right, thx
but just to make sure ( Don't want to buy a new Flybar for fun .. ) when both of my propeller were down and the was just the outershaft, I could fell a bit of vibration a low RPM ( even a bit @ high one, my heli frame moved on my desk... ) is it normal?
Thx

diastro,
Just for fun, try..... take all the blades off and spin it up, (leave flybar on) if stll vibrating, good chance the flybar is a tad out of balance.

If you guys really want to balance this heli, you need to take the inner shaft w/flybar, link, and upper blades attached, and balance them as a unit. I know, the flybar has a little slop in the holes, and it will take a little while to get both sides the same, but it is well worth it, and way better than balancing them seperately. That 2 gram link arm to the upper blades, at 1600 rpm will throw a wrench into the works, see?! 1 inch or so off the center of the shaft, at high rpm has got to have an effect on balance. Don't get me wrong, I got one at x-mas, and love it, they fly good out of the box, but if you go through it and "blueprint it" they are awesome.Oil all contact points (balls and arms, shafts)I oil everything except the gears, and the flybar, it's loose enough. And carefully balance all rotating assemblies as a unit, and you will have a most awesome flying machine! No binding in the shafts is a must!!! You can have slightly bent shafts without much binding, so be aware. If everything is balanced, you shouldn't have much shake at any rpm.

Does something like this ever happen to anyone of you guys?
BTW HOW DO I GET THE LITTLE SCREW DOWN THE OUTER SHAFT OUT!! I'ts like if it was lock1!

Seriously , just use a bigger screw driver.
Even if it has lock tight on it , it should not be hard to get out.
Or,
Take it to your local hobby shop, I'm sure they would be happy to help.
Or,
Worst case scenario, drill it out and replace the locking collar and the shaft.

well I was going to make a post about how if i tweak it just right my heli's nose wont turn left or right but after that is worked out it seems to make small little circles while it is hovering in place. It keeps pointed in the same way but now that I read some of these posts i think it might be do to a bent fly bar that makes it hover arround in slight circles.

I really dont know what is the matter with mine. I have been flying mine for a couple weeks now and i have been able to hover pretty good but lately my heli has been starting to do this funny circular thing that i dont know anything about. The nose stays pointed in one direction and the whole heli just starts ocilating in a circle sometimes big sometimes small, i can usually correct the helicopters circular movement with stick control but i would like to know how to fix this problem. I checked everything in all these posts. the blades are ballanced well, i straightened the fly bar pretty good, they are both the same number blade. If anyone can help me id appreciate it.
thanks,
david

Dave, try to put everything out of you Outer shaft and then make it s[pin if it vibrate its because it is bended... Otherwise you can try to adjust you 4-1 unit...
