I had forgot to ask this question earlier in a post I had made on asking about the use of the heat sink compund when installing the motor heat sink.
Question: Does anyone else have a little trouble or at least more trouble than it seems like it should be to install the Blade CX2 battery? Everytime I slide it into the tray and I get about a 1/4" from where it should stop the battery gets hung up on something. For the life of me I can't tell what the battery or wires or plugs might be getting caught on. Any thoughts or suggestions for easy installation of the battery? It just shouldn't be that difficult. Appreciate the input!

Alot of people cut that bottom of the canopy open and it makes it much easier to install...I put my batt, in backwards with the wires out back...I have a tail boom but its still much easier....

I install my battery with the wires toward the tail. SOOO much easier to connect the plug. And most of the time my battery gets caught about 1/4" from being all the way in.
For whatever reason, the battery goes in just a little crooked. It slides in through the aft battery brackets, but it hits the front battery bracket and stops. Since I know what it is now, it just takes a slight twist of the battery and it seats just fine. I'm right handed and the battery hits the right front bracket.
Since I got the Boomtown boom from Jamie, I find that my balance is off a little (just a bit toward the front), so I need to get into the battery bracket and put a spacer in so the battery sits a little farther back. And with the Version 3 kit from Boomtown, the rubber ring that stabilizes the tail routes through the battery bracket and helps hold the battery stable. I don't even worry about the Velcro pad.
Now you know as much as I know about it. Don't ya feel special?

Same problem here.....
On mine it is the battery leads that get in the way. They are on the front corner of the battery and it gets stuck on the tray. (They should have had the leads exit closer to the center.
Tug on the leads a little and it should pull through.

Thanks for your thoughts everyone, I like my leads going forward as it looks much cleaner than having the wires on the outside of the body. I know it would probably be easier having the wires to the rear and plugging the wires together on the outside. Can't wait to try Jamie's boom! Have a great flight everyone!
