Default CP Performance Help

I bought the Blade CP about a year ago on the notion that it would really perform as intended. I got all the aerobatic upgrades, installed them, did about three flights, and put it in storage. I was very unhappy with the power and head speed.

Is anyone making 3D blades? Any engine recommendations? Any suggestions? I’d like to put it out of moth balls.

Thanks

The brushless setup that eflite recommends has PLENTY of power. IMO the CF main blades really cut through the air and really show off the power better, plus much more responsive. Even though some pros like the wooden symmetricals. I pertty much learned FF on the CF and I want back to wooden and there just not the same. The first thing I noticed was slower punch-outs. However, if you want a slightly more stable flight, than stick to wood. Wood will make more cool air noise too. BTW some PPL complain that the CF are too heavy. Wood 10.1 CF 11.1 Not that much difference. It's about the same weight as 2 plastic push pins, which weigh 1.1g

I'm the same way. If I had it to do over again, I would not have spent the money on this bird, and I would have gotten a Honey Bee King 2. The dual motor heli's are always going to be sub-par in comparison. I'm ready for more power so I can fly like the big boys. This one flies like a cub. It will loop, but only after diving. It's fun to chase the horses around the pasture, but that's about all it's good for. I figure it will cost another $200 to go brushless, direct drive tail, and telebee gyro. That also includes going with a conventional receiver and adding a speed control. I just don't think it's worth it.
