Default Remove ca/superglue?

I made a very dumb mistake today when reassembling my bcp tail boom, I didnt check what angle the tail would be at, but glued it anyways. (yes I know, I'm an idiot) I have been using some nail polish remover I found, but haven't had any luck. Any ideas?

John

I've heard that you can take the air cans for blowing dust out of keyboards and hold it upside down and spray the liquid onto the parts and then "break" them free....but I've never tried it.

Hmm, didnt seem to work, though maybe I'm just scared to destroy the tail.

try heating it up. and then use hot glue next time. it does the same thing but you can peel it off if you don't like how it is or if you need to repair it.

Unfortunately, didnt do much good, but I'll keep in mind to use hot glue next time. Ok another question for people what is a good debonder and where can it be bought, but any more ideas that dont require a debonder would be appreciated.

Thanks,
John

A last resort you could cut the tail mount off and drill it out and put it back on a half inch shorter ?

Your nail polish remover is basically the same thing as acetone (it has alot of acetone in it) I use straight acetone applied with a q tip and hold the heli vertically to let the acetone do its job. Use the nail polish remover and a hair dryer being careful not to ignite the flammable liquid. It takes a bit of twisting to break it loose......then you can remove it. Other wise you can break off the (ouch!) new tail boom and drill it out, and install a new one.

Ok, for the hair dryer, keep it on low, or just back a little bit?
