So i bought my CX2 on ebay knowing it needed a body, and skids, and the upper rotor head was hit so probably needed that. Since ive never even flown this heli i made some posts here and you have all been very helpful. Shes is now ripped completly apart waiting for parts
Bought with this damage

So i went up on ebay and ordered up a new Eflite aluminum inner shaft with alum head, new outter main shaft, and a shortened flybar. Also ordered a heatsink for the motors, extreme CF tail boom, skids, and body. I have installed the tail boom but the rest is all apart with tiny screws everywhere [X(]
Here is the sexy boom

Here are the skids, and body. You can see where i cut the body to allow air-flow to the 4 in one and motors.

I have also cut pretty much all the plastic off the 4 in 1 to let her stay nice and cool.
The heli came with some mods already "Eflite alum. swash, lower rotor head, upper "which was bent"
bling

Heres how she looked when i got her. I will post my build/progress pics after work. Hopefully my new parts will be here before the weekend.

that shaft can be straightened if you want to
just tap it with a hammer on a flat metal surface
with a light shining behind it you'll see the bent part
as the light will go through. since ive learned that
process i've never bought another shaft again.
except when i strip the gears then its done.
wont take you more than 5 min to do that for sure.
but it wont hurt to buy one now and save that just in case you fee like
trying it.
looks like you have a nice project going and we expect to see pics
when its done!! lol.....

Cage, Looking good my friend....I know it's just the begining phases...I can only imagine what it will look like in time...As I've seen your Cars, and Bike, and I'am betting we're all in for a surprise, of how nice your gonna make this thing...! Did ya notice my heli has the silver/blue/chrome theme going on ? Matches my car engine, and car...Lol...As I see similiarities also on your heli with identities similiar to your car...
I'am so sold on the black Xtreme skids...I'am definately going for a set of the black to match my CX2 heli...All I've ever seen was the white Xtreme's...And was worried I was going to have to paint them, and I did not want to go that route at all due to scratches and such...Very original...Keep up the good work, I see you in the future moving up, and becoming a good pilot and having the same addiction as I do. The heli's look good in the garage next to all our other toys, that we share the same interests in...!!
Take care guy, Jeff

So my parts came in today, got her all back together, got the 4 in 1 set up, and almost hovered the whole battery pack my 1st try, this things a **** ton of fun and makes me want to empty my bank account on more helis, ill hold off for now though. This is so addicting it should be illegal. My sisters 1yr old was in awe when i brought it over. Good times.

hey - be careful with that vented 4-in-1 when it is foggy/damp outside - i got moisture condensation in my canopy and on the 4-in-1 case, but my holes are on the sides and it was ok - just stick some tape over the top hole if its damp outside and you get the urge to fly
