Default CPP Servo jitters+ Gyro very warm

My Blade CPP has developed servo jitters and the gyro is quite warm to the touch. Would I have two problems or can the gyro be going bad and causing the servos to move. Only takes a miniute or so for the gyro to get quite warm to the touch all the while the gyros are twitching. Advancing the throttle the rear rotor takes off first and really winds up before the main rotor starts to move. At a loss on what should be replaced first. If I hold the throttle stick to one side I can prevent the rear motor from turning but I should not have to do that. Any ideas to try ? Thanks Bob Palmer

Do you have a seperate Gyro? If so your gain might be high if your tail motor is spinning that fast. That might cause heat if it is working harder then it has to. If you are talking about the stock gyro your proportional might be to high for the tail motor. If you are using a seperate gyro is your proportional poteniometer set all the way to the main rotor and did you turn the stock gyro all the way to the left. I am not sure about the servo jitters. When does it jitter or is it all the time? Hope this helps.

yep gyro gain set too high probably, if you've messed with it - if not look for something that is changed - the 90 or 110 gyros just talk to the tail rotor, not all the servos - if they are really jittering/buzzing like crazy i'd suspect the tx too

if not look for loose tail stuff where the power isn't getting to the tail rotor blades continuously - stuff like spinning worn spots on gears, the pins not in the holes all the way, the knighthead binding up, the tailrotor motor binding

been there done that on the fixed pitch, but not the cp (yet)

good point too about needing to turn down your built in rate gyro if you add a external

that's all i can think of that would cause the tail to twitch like the description, especially if you can hold it back with the stick
