Today I recieved my xtreme/MH heli upgrades. I recieved the grips (MH)
and the extended upper head by xtreme. When First saw the grips and parts I
said...wow, I like. But as the rebuild began....SO DID THE PROBLEMS!...
I began with the swash, then the upper head, and trying out the stock flybar for
any problems...Yep, the xtreme upper extended head does work with the stock
flybar. As I started putting the bottom grips on, I noticed that the small washers that
fit around the grip extentions were gunna make the grips to much of a tight fit, so tight that
the grips wouldnt move freely...so I took them off and tryed without the washers, it worked.
Next to the top grips, they too were also over tight and the flybar was stuck completly!!
By this time I was not getting along with the heli at all, lol yea not good...so I took the grips
back off, and took the washers out, it worked, but when they were placed back on without washers,
It was still to tight, the problem was that the Xtreme upper head bars that hold the grips on were to long,
and the grips were to tight without being free...dont get me wrong...they fit, but very tight and no
play for the flybar. So I used the dremal, and cut just a bit off of the bars, IT WORKED..now with only
the blades left, I started mounting the MH (black) blades..they slipped in fine, but one or two of the
blades were much more loose than the other two. Anyways, after trimming and doing ajustments
for an hour...yea...an hour!...It slowly starts back to hover...thank God...
When I got it just about into trim, my battery fails, just stops lol, dont know whats going on, but
I cant fly now...So My overall 1-10 on the upgrades, ill give them a 4. Just because of the trouble
having to get back into correct trim, having to cut the upper head, and the washers not working as
they should. Also, my heli didnt have as much lift as it should have, and didnt lift with the MH blades
worth a ***** and its now got a hell of alot vibration...seems over rated to me...but im sure that when
you pay100$ smacks for somthing to bolt right on, seems it would, but its all good as This is just a fun
hobby and i love the looks from the grips and upgrades just as well...but If your looking to buy the cx2 upgrade...
I say until your bored as hell of the heli, then sell, or upgrade for more trimming practice. well said.
So after the last flight, id give the stock cx2 a 8 out of 10, now a 4, but ill just have to work on my bird a bit more,
so maybe it will start flying better.
Happy flying to all!!!

This is the fun of the helis, getting things to line up and work. Sorry you had so many problems, I noticed a huge difference with my Xtreme blades and motors.

Dosnt matter anyways, I wanted the blue, and xtreme dosnt offer
that color, so I got the MH, the xtreme blades came in the mail 2 hours ago, and
the problem was coming from the MH blades...they suck, the grips work great now,
and im trouble free, iv added more weight, and about 3min off my flight time, so
I ordered the motors and new high rated battery today, ill recieve them next week.
Im sure ill have some pics up soon enough..

i bought my friend the first MH grips in silver and he hates them but...we never tried my extreme evolution blades, as you are correct the MH blades seem too flimsy to me!
I think a blade grip is a blade grip! I like the blue too!

I must say that I have the MH swash, lower rotor head and upper bearing cap. The rest of it is the Xtreme. The Xtreme blades, grips and extended upper shaft are all good purchases. The MH stuff I am ont as impressed with. The swashplate seems to work fine, but the upper bearng cap was WAY too small for the shft. They actually give you SANDPAPER [:@] to remove enough of the outer shaft to get it to fit. No thanks! E-Flite Alim cap works great. I am also not a fan of the Xtreme body. The Xtreme canopies are fun to paint, but the placement of the mounting holes is so close to the edge that they break very easily. [&:]
I can't say enough good things about the Xtreme grips and blades. If you read goldslinger's link above, you will see how to fix these problems. Once I trimmed down the plastic spacers on the upper head and cut 1 mm off of the ball link, it flies perfectly. What's more is that I don't replace blades anymore. Well, I did break one blade, but it was pretty cold outside when I flew that day.
