Default A little CAD work

I was messing with the 3D CAD program and came up with a little different look for a Falcon 40, Walkera #4. I sort of like the semi transparent canopy. That's the look I want for my Xtreme upgrade CX with the clear canopy. I want it tinted, not opaque.
Any thoughts on how I might do that?

My fist thought was, "I'm serious". Yer messing with me.
Then I thought, "that might work".
Then I wondered how I might get it to stick and stay stuck.
Then I figure yer messing with me.
But it might work.
Anybody tried to dye one of these things? I guess I just need to go do it and post the results instead of just another question.

Back to work on the cad thing. I have all of the control bits to put in.

What about "old school" tissue paper and dope?
Just stay away from the pear tree.

Why don't you just spray the entire canopy with the window tint from Pactra. Not sure if you can get any colors....even better try a pearl paint. That would work. Would take a few coats to get it to look right. Should produce the results your looking for. Most pearls are semi transparent. My only concern would be getting it even without any heavy spots. Maybe time to take up the airbrush

Nope I wasn't messing with you. It could possible work, I wouldn't bet my life of it, or even $20. I've seen sheets of blue shrinkwrap that exact same color you want at my LHS. I've also seen transparent blue hobby spray paint. I don't know anything about pactra tinting paint but that sounds like another good bet.

The "old school" dope already hit the pear tree.
You're suggesting making a new canopy using my existing canopy as a mold? You're right - I'd hate to run that into a tree.
